The abounding beauty in the American west is quite staggering.  Everywhere you drive, you’re inundated with a jaw-dropping, breath-taking scene.  With all the allure, it’s difficult to choose what to explore and what to forgo.  I’m a huge advocate of “seeing it all”.  However, rarely is that feasible.  Thus, I’ve created a list of what I believe to be the 22 most surreal and must-see destinations in the U.S. West (excluding the PNW because that is a list all on its own).  Read my full guide, “The 22 Most Surreal Destinations in the U.S. West” below.
Among my travels, I constantly seek out the best destinations and national parks for spotting wildlife. After exploring this country countless times, I’ve discovered a few national parks that (more or less) guarantee its visitors some unbelievable wildlife sightings. With that said, I’d love to share these places with you in hopes that you, too, can marvel at their awe-inducing beauty – forming everlasting bonds with these wild creatures and their land. Read my full post, “Best National Parks for Spotting Wildlife” below.
Badlands National Park in South Dakota holds a very special place in my heart – it was the first National Park that I ever visited AND it was my first trip “out west”.  I’ve now been there multiple times and have LOVED every second of every day I’ve spent there.  I think it is a highly underrated natural beauty in the U.S. and I feel everyone should start planning a trip there ASAP!  SO many people make the drive to see Mount Rushmore, which is only about an hour and a half away from Badlands National Park…yet, they skip over Badlands!??! HOWWWW?  I do not understand this in the slightest.  PLEASE, do not make this mistake yourself.  If anything, choose Badlands National Park OVER Mount Rushmore (if you can’t do both) – you won’t regret it! Check out my full post, “10 Reasons Why You Should Visit Badlands National Park” below.
